Niranjan Sen Gupta
Mechuabazar Bomb Case

Born 1902 , Barisal, Bangladesh, s/o Late Sarbananda Sengupta . Joined Anusheelan Samity in 1921. A student leader, organiser of All India Students Conference. Elected Secretary of the first Student's Union of Krishnanath College- Berhampur. Was sent there to organise Anusheelan Samity. As a B.Sc. student arrested under B.C.L.A. in 1925. Released in 1928. Arrested for Mechubazar Bomb Case on 19.12.1929. Sentenced to 7 years transportation. Deported to Andamans. One of the participants of the hunger strike of May 1933. Repatriated in 1939. Total jail period more than 10 years.

Samarendra Ghosh
ManickgunjMail Action

Born 31.01.1915, Bankhuri, Manikgunj, Dacca, Bangladesh s/o Narendra Ghosh Talukdar. When 14 years of age joined revolutionary party. Matriculated and arrested in May 1933 in connection with Manickgunj Mail Action Case and convicted to 7 years R.I. Deported to Cellular jail. Participated in second hunger strike there . Repatriated in 1938 and released in 1939. Remained interned under Govt. order for 38 months in 1940. Thereafter went underground during the war years. Total jail period more than 7 years.

Abani Ranjan Ghosh
Alipore Explosive Act Case

S/o Manoranjan Ghosh, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Sent up in Alipore Explosive Act Case. Sentenced on 3rd November 1930. Deported to Cellular Jail in 1032. Repatriated in 1937.

Bhupesh Chandra Guha
Barisal Arms Action Case

S/o Ananda Charan Guha, Benaripada, Barisal, Bangladesh. Sent up in Arms action case, 1932. Sentencedon 15 February 1932 to 5 years prison term . Deported to Cellular Jail in 1934. Repatriated in 1937

Bimal Das Gupta
Shooting Villiers Case

President of the European Association and Peddie Case Born 1911 at Basanda, Barisal, Bangladesh. S/O late Akshay Kumar Das Gupta. Joined Sri Sangha at the age of 17. Shot James Peddie, DM of Midnapore in April 1931. In October 1931 areested while shooting Villiers, President of the European Association. Sentenced to 10yrs RI there was no direct evidence so could not be convicted in Peddie's Case. Deported to Andamans in 1932. Participated in both hunger strikes and then in another in Dum Dum Central. Repatriated in 1938 january. Released from Barisal jail in 1940. Total Jail period 9 years.

Ganesh Ghosh
Chittagong Armoury Raid Case

S/o Bipin Ghosh , s/o Bipin Ghosh, Binodpur, Jessore, Bangladesh. Took part in Chittagong Armoury Raid Case. Absconded but arrested by the police on 4th Septmber 1930 after an encounter at Chandannagar.Sentenced to life term on 1st March 1932. deported to Andamans.Repatriated in 1937-38.

Gulab Chand Gupta
Motihari Conspiracy Case

S/O Ramphal ram. Residence Chanpathia, Bethia, Champaran, Bihar. Sent up in 1929. Awarded 10 yrs sentence on 16 Dec 1929. Repatriated during 1937/38

Jiben Guha Thakurta
Criminal Law Act

S/o Nagendra Nath Guha, banaripada, Barisal, Bangladesh. For violation of Government orders and restrictions in Krishnanagar, he was arrested and sentenced 5 and half years prison term . Deported to Cellular Jail in 1932. Released.

Jogendra Mohan Guha
Calcutta Arms Act Case

S/o Ananda Charan Guha, Raghunathpur Kotwali, West Bengal . Arested in Calcutta Arms Act case of 1932 in the allegation of keeping illegal arms. Sentenced on 29th April 1932 to 6 years imprisonment.Deported to Cellular Jail in 1932. Repatriated in 1937.
